The film tells the story of two of New York’s most notorious organized crime bosses, Frank Costello (Robert De Niro) and Vito Genovese (De Niro), who compete for control of the city’s streets. Once the best of friends, a series of petty jealousies and betrayals lead them into a deadly conflict that will change the Mafia (and America) forever.
